What is suspicious behavior?

Signs and behaviors that may be suspicious:

  • a person running as if chased
  • a person carrying a locked bicycle
  • a person going door to door in an office building or a residential area
  • a person being forced into a vehicle
  • a person forcibly entering a locked vehicle
  • business transactions conducted from a vehicle near schools or parks
  • persons sitting in a parked car closely scanning the area around them
  • unusual noises, including gunshots, screaming or sounds of fighting

Report suspicious behavior to DPS at (213) 740-4321 (UPC) or (323) 442-1000 (HSC). If you are away from campus, call 911. For more information, go here.
